Get Your Music Where
No Other Artist's Is

Your people inside can finally hear you — and you keep 100% of your music. The big distributors don’t reach the prison kiosks. We do the work to get your music submitted across the networks inside — JPay, Securus, GTL/ViaPath & the federal system — a listening audience almost no independent artist reaches.

The Opportunity

The people inside have been waiting to hear you

Behind the wall, your loved ones can buy and play music right on the tablets inside — and for many, your song is one of the few ways left to feel close. For the artist, it's an audience almost no one else reaches; for the family, it's a voice that makes it across the wall. The catch: you can't just upload to Spotify and call it done — prison networks are a closed, filtered world with their own rules. We know them.

Every play is a sale

Inside, people buy your music outright — a single sells for around $0.99–$2.50, a paid download, not a fraction-of-a-cent stream. (Tablets also carry a ~$24.99/mo streaming tier — but a purchase pays you far more per play.) You earn a share of every sale, with your exact terms in writing before you pay.

No Games · Where The Money Goes

When someone buys your single inside

  • The buyer pays $0.99–$2.50 per download — a real sale, not a streaming fraction.
  • The kiosk operator (JPay, Securus, ViaPath) keeps their own platform fee — that’s set by them, and it’s the same cut every distributor on their network pays. We don’t control it, and we don’t pretend to.
  • What’s left is your sale earnings. On the DIY guide and flat-fee paths, you keep 100% — you paid us up front, we take nothing off your sales. On a full-service revenue-share deal, Done Deal Digital takes an agreed share, written into your agreement before you pay a dollar.
  • Nothing hidden. Ask us for the exact numbers on your release and we’ll put them in writing — the prison-telecom world is built on hidden fees; we’re the opposite.

The facility itself always makes the final call on whether a track goes on its tablets — that’s their decision, not ours.

The Reach

Just how big is this?

One correct release routes into the two networks that run prison entertainment — JPay/Securus and GTL/ViaPath — plus the federal system. That's not a niche; it's one of the largest audiences in the country that almost no independent artist reaches.

2,000+
Correctional facilities
30+
State prison systems
~120
Federal institutions
~1.9M
Incarcerated in the U.S. (BJS)

Reach spans the JPay/Securus and GTL/ViaPath tablet networks — 30+ state systems and 640+ county jails — plus the federal Bureau of Prisons through TRULINCS. Not every facility individually, but the large majority of the market.

Why Most Releases Get Blocked

The filter is strict — and secret

Correctional networks run a strict, unforgiving content filter, and they're contractually barred from publishing the rules. Before a release can sell inside, it has to clear a specific set of content and metadata rules — trip any one of them and your release is silently rejected. No notice. No refund of your time. Get one detail wrong and you often won't even know why it never went live. This is exactly where artists waste weeks.

The good news: the block is almost never about your music itself. There's a precise way through — but the exact rules that get a release accepted, and the everyday mistakes that get one blocked before it earns a dime, are the part we don't give away free. That's the whole reason this guide exists.

Your exact terms in writing — before you pay. Every package comes with the full distribution agreement up front. No surprises after the money moves.
The honest limit: we run the pipeline right — specs, metadata, routing, verification — but a facility’s own curation decision is theirs, and nobody can override it. If a submission bounces for something within our control, we fix it and resubmit at no charge.

If a release gets blocked for something we controlled — metadata or artwork — we fix and resubmit free. We can't override a facility's own curation decision (no honest service can), but we make sure you're compliant and submitted correctly — which is the whole ballgame.

Questions

Good to know

Can my music have explicit lyrics?

The block is almost never about your music itself. But a release still has to clear a strict, unforgiving filter that rejects non-compliant submissions silently — get one detail wrong and you often won't even know why it never went live. Exactly what passes is a specific set of rules we don't give away free: it's in the $97 guide, or we handle your compliance for you.

How long until my music is on the kiosks?

Typically a couple of weeks after correct submission (about 14 business days for the main pipeline). Add lead time around the holidays.

What's the difference between the $97 guide and the done-for-you service?

The guide teaches you to do it yourself, forever, with lifetime updates. The done-for-you service means our team does all of it for you — compliance, routing, submission, and verification.

Do I keep my rights and royalties?

You keep 100% of your music — your masters and your publishing stay yours. On the kiosks, a single sells for around $0.99–$2.50 to the buyer — bought, not streamed — and you earn a share of every sale. What you take home depends on the path you pick — DIY with the guide, or one of our done-for-you options — and we put your exact terms in writing before you pay a dollar.

Why is your guide $97 when others charge $300?

Because the guide is our front door, not our business. We make our living doing the distribution for artists. You get the same (re-verified, corrected, maintained) information for a fraction of the price.

Get in front of an audience nobody else is serving

Start with the $97 playbook, or have us handle the whole thing. Either way — your music, in places it's never been.
