What this internship is

This internship puts you behind the glass at B.A.R.Studio while real sessions are happening. You're not watching from the couch — you're setting up the room, dialing the signal chain, tracking takes, and keeping the session moving so the artist can focus on the booth. When an artist walks in, the recording has to be ready, clean, and on time. That's your job.

Why it matters here: a lot of the artists we work with don't get unlimited studio time — including the people inside who need their voice captured right the first time. A session that runs smooth and a take that's recorded clean is the difference between music that gets heard and music that dies on a hard drive. You're the one who makes sure it gets captured right.

What you'll do

• Set up the room before sessions — mic placement, headphone mixes, levels, and signal chain so the booth is ready when the artist walks in
• Run live tracking in the DAW: punch-ins, comping takes, labeling and saving files so nothing gets lost
• Manage the vibe and the clock — keep the session focused, professional, and moving without rushing the artist
• Troubleshoot in real time when something cuts out, pops, or distorts, without stopping the creative flow
• Organize and back up session files at the end of every session so the mix engineer inherits a clean project
