What this internship is

This internship is about what happens after the record button stops. You take the raw, multi-track sessions out of B.A.R.Studio and turn them into a record that sounds good in earbuds, in a car, on a cheap phone speaker, and through a prison kiosk. Balance, EQ, compression, effects, automation — you learn to make every element sit right and hit hard.

Why it matters here: an independent artist's mix is competing with major-label budgets on the same playlist. We don't have those budgets, so the mix has to do the work. A great mix is how we get our artists taken seriously — and how we make sure the message lands clearly for the people who need to hear it most.

What you'll do

• Take raw multi-track sessions and build a clean, balanced mix from the ground up
• Apply EQ, compression, reverb, delay, and automation to make vocals sit on top of the beat and the whole record translate across devices
• Clean up takes — noise, clicks, breaths, timing, and tuning where it serves the song
• Reference your mixes against released records in the same lane so they hold up next to the competition
• Take revision notes from the artist and Feady, and turn them around fast without losing the vision
