What this internship is

This internship is for producers. You make instrumentals — beats, loops, and full productions — that our artists actually want to write to. You'll work in B.A.R.Studio building from scratch, flipping samples, programming drums, and laying down the foundation that a record gets built on. The goal is simple: make something so good the artist can't help but record on it.

Why it matters here: the right beat unlocks the right song. A lot of our artists are writing about real life — some of them from inside — and the instrumental sets the tone for everything they say over it. You're not making background noise. You're building the canvas for the story.

What you'll do

• Produce original instrumentals from scratch — drums, melodies, basslines, and arrangement — in styles that fit our roster
• Flip and chop samples, layer sounds, and build full beat arrangements that leave room for the artist
• Tailor instrumentals to specific artists and projects, taking direction on mood, tempo, and vibe
• Prep clean beat files and stems so the recording and mix stages can work with them
• Build and organize a catalog of instrumentals the studio can pull from when an artist needs something fast

• Sound selection, sampling, and how to build a beat that translates from your headphones to a record
• How to produce on direction — making what the project needs, not just what you feel like making
• How to organize stems and beat files for a real production pipeline
