What this internship is

This is the internship for the person who already lives in the music — the one building playlists nobody asked for, reading a room by feel, hearing how one record sets up the next. You'll learn to DJ and to program DDD Radio: mixing live, building rotations, and putting our artists on the air for real listeners.

It matters here because the radio isn't a hobby station — it's how independent music finds an audience that the algorithm skips, including the people inside who can finally hear their own city on the air. Every spin you give an unsigned artist is a real shot at being heard.

What you'll do

• Mix live sets and build crowd-reading transitions — beatmatching, key, energy, and the order that keeps people locked in
• Program rotations for DDD Radio: pick the records, sequence the hours, and decide what gets airtime
• Get our independent artists into rotation and onto the broadcast, then track what actually connects
• Run the broadcast end to end — line up segments, hit your spots clean, and keep the station sounding tight
• Build show concepts and themed sets, from new-release spotlights to deep Bay catalog runs

What you'll learn

• The craft of the mix — beatmatching, phrasing, EQ, and reading a crowd in real time
• Radio programming and rotation strategy — how a station builds an audience and a sound
• Live broadcast operation: the signal chain, the timing, and staying composed on air
• Music curation with intent — choosing records that move people, not just fill space
