What this internship is

A&R is the work behind the work — scouting talent, shaping a sound, and planning a real rollout instead of just dropping a track and hoping. As an Artist Development & A&R intern you'll learn to spot what's there before everyone else does, and to help an artist turn raw potential into a career.

This is the heart of what Done Deal Digital does: we get independent artists heard, including the people locked up whose talent the industry never gets to. You'll be part of deciding who we develop and how we build them — with the ear and the data both in your hands.

What you'll do

• Scout talent across the Bay and beyond — listen wide, dig through submissions, and find the artists worth building
• Read the data alongside the ear: streaming numbers, audience signals, and what they say about who's ready
• Help shape an artist's sound, story, and positioning — the identity that makes them more than one song
• Map out release rollouts: singles, timing, content, and the steps that build momentum instead of wasting a drop
• Sit in on development conversations and learn how a roster actually gets built and managed
